She then made a target of herself when putting Brunson’s ability down to “ego” and stated she’d love to play him. Brunson, famously willing to engage all detractors via his blog and Twitter, dropped a controversial bomb himself when he suggested it was a “bad time of the month” for Obrestad (a Tweet he later felt compelled to apologize for, to women everywhere.)
With her bluster going into the WSOP, Obrestad’s best effort so far is a 72nd place finish at the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Event and $10,497.
Brunson’s controversial Tweet also contained an open ended challenge – “By the way, I’m at Bobby’s Room almost every day if she really wants to play.”
